Ducks and Turtle

Two ducks who lived in a big lake had a friend who was a turtle. One year there was a very little rain and the lake began to dry up. One of the ducks said to the other, “Soon, there’ll be no water in this lake. Let’s go and look for lake.”
“Yes, answered the second duck, “But first let’s say good bye to our friend, the turtle.”

When they told the turtle they were going to leave, he said, “I’ll die here without any water and without any friends. Take me with you.”

“The ducks answered, “We can’t. We are going to fly, and you have no wings.”

“The turtle thought for a minute and then said, “please wait here.”

Then he went away and found a strong, straight stick. He brought it back to his friends, put the middle of it in his mouth and said, “Now if each of you takes me one end of the stick in his mouth, you can lift me up and carry me with you.”

“ That is dangerous,” said the ducks, “if you try to talk while we’re carrying you through the air, you won’t be able to hold the stick, so you’ll fall down along way and break your shell.”

“all right,” answered the turtle, “I promise not to talk while we’re in the air. So the ducks took the stick and flew away, with the turtle between them. All went well until they were flying over a town. Then some people saw them and shouted, “Look, those ducks are carrying a cat!”The turtle got very angry, “A cat? I’m not …” he said, but he did not get any further, because when he opened his mouth, the stick came out of his mouth and the poor turtle fell to the ground.

MATSWAPATI

Ahoy! Welcome back to my Blog! I will tell you about my experience. 27th October 2014, SMAN 3  Bandung held a festival, cultural festival named “MATSWAPATI”, at Lapangan Bali. We did a parade to start the festival. Every 10th grade must join the parade and each class must have a mascot, our mascot was Peye, Kirana and Rian. We started the parade at Jl. Bali, Jl.Belitung, Jl.Sumatra, Jl.Merdeka and back to Jl.Bali. It was kinda tiring actually, but it was fun. Matswapati is named after the king of all wayang, the traditional puppet from Indonesia.
The Stage
After that, Matswapati officially opened by our beloved Mayor, Ridwan Kamil. He introduce himself then told us his opinion about this event, he also gave the Transstudio Bandung ticket for anyone who can beat his challenge.
Then, the show is just began, there were many cultural performance such as traditional martial art and traditional song. There are a performance by SMAN 3 extracurricular such as KPA 3, TST, MK, and Vocal Group. It’s really fun to watch. But not only a performance, there are a food court named “JAJANAN” that sells traditional foods and snacks.
The event was getting crowded on the afternoon, because the performances that we wait was on the afternoon. On the afternoon, there are wayang show, I thought it’ll we boring as hell, I never been so wrong. The wayang show was very very funny, it showed us about culture nowadays, which is bad, but they showed it in a fun way. I couldn’t stop laughing at the time. Not only wayang, but on the afternoon there were a performance by Barsena, well I don’t know anything about this band but everyone told me that Barsena is very cool. Well yeah, I kinda enjoyed watching Barsena though.
The Stage on the evening
Glenn Fredly!!!!
Finally! The last performance was from GLENN FREDLY! It’s very awesome, all the crowd were singing a long. He sang a song such as Terserah, You Are My Everything, Hikayah Cinta and many more, and he sang BENTO by Iwan Fals too, he sang it to express that we, the students of SMAN 3 Bandung and the other audiences, we disagree with the result of Sidang Paripurna that we can’t choose our leader (Mayor) anymore. But unfortunately, i went home before the show is end because my brother asked me to go somewhere to eat. Well but that was enough for a day.
I really enjoyed this event, because it’s not an ordinary event, it IS NOT a music concert, it is a show, not only music but dance, martial art, dance, and food. It’s very different than any other school event. IT IS MATSWAPATI. I’m very proud to be student of SMAN 3 Bandung!

That’s all I can share with you, thank you for reading guys, see ya later ahoy!

The Lincoln Memorial

Olá! Welcome back to my blog! In this post, i want to tell you about one of amazing building, Lincoln Memorial. Well, it’s a monum

ent actually. Maybe you don’t know what is Lincoln Memorial, but you may know something famous of this monument, it’s Abraham Lincoln Statue. Still don’t know? C’mon, you must’ve seen it in “Night At The Museum 2”. Never watched it before? Well, you should! It’s a great movie by the way. But Nevermind, let’s talk about Lincoln Memorial.

The Building

On Memorial Day, May 30, 1922, the building was dedicated, 57 years after Lincoln died. About 50,000 people attended the ceremonies, including hundreds of Civil War veterans and Robert Todd Lincoln, the president's only surviving son. The main speakers were President Warren Harding, former President William Howard Taft, and Dr. Robert Moton, principal of the Tuskegee Institute, who delivered the keynote address.
The Lincoln Memorial Building
The architect was Henry Bacon , the sculptor of the primary was Daniel Chester French, and the painter of the interior murals was Jules Guerin. The classic design features 36 Doric columns outside, symbolizing the states in the Union at Lincoln's death. The building measures 204 feet long, 134 feet wide, and 99 feet tall, with 44-foot columns. It blends stone from various states: white Colorado marble for the exterior, Indiana limestone for the interior walls, pink Tennessee marble for the floor, and Alabama marble for the ceiling.

The Statue

Lincoln Statue
Daniel Chester French, the leading American sculptor of the day, created the famous statue of Lincoln which dominates the interior. The memorial plans originally specified a 12-foot bronze statue, but it proved out of scale for the huge building. The finished statue is 19 feet tall, carved of 28 blocks of white Georgia marble. French later had special lighting installed to enhance the figure. Visitors sometimes ask if the hands have special significance (such as forming the letter "A" in sign language), but there is no indication French intended it.

Directly behind the Lincoln statue you can read the words of Royal Cortissoz carved into the wall:
"IN THIS TEMPLE AS IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE FOR WHOM HE SAVED THE UNION THE MEMORY OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN IS ENSHRINED FOREVER."

I really like the statue because it’s huge, white, and i like the way Lincoln sit. What do you think? That’s all i want to share about Lincoln Memorial and Lincoln Statue. Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy it. Adiós.

Oh yeah, i really suggest you to watch Night At The Museum 2. Ciao.

My Unforgettable Experience

Hello again! Welcome back to my blog! Now, i’m gonna share my unforgettable experience with you. I don’t know why, but i choose this story instead my other stories.
So, at that time, i was playing with my friend, and after that, we took a break.  We were so tired, so we decided to sit for a while. Me and my best friend, nanang, wanted to buy a drink so we went to a shop. After we bought and drank, we still felt hungry, i was too lazy to go home so i wanted to buy a meal.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have money anymore, so we decided to sit at my friend’s place and take a rest for a while. Then, i saw something on the street, then i picked it up. I felt very happy, because i found Rp10.000! I was very excited and told my friends about it, but then i realized that the money is ripped. So the money  was ripped into 2 pieces, i was so disappointed. All my friends laughed at me.
But maybe because i was so hungry, a dumb wild and stupid great idea came to me. Then i scrolled those pieces of money, so it wouldn’t look like a ripped money. After that, i asked Nanang to go with me, i told him that i will bought him a bowl of meatballs and of course he wouldn’t refuse it.
After we reached the meatball cart, we ordered a bowl of meatballs and then i gave the ripped money to the seller. I was so afraid and worried that he will realize the ripped money then get angry to us. But, Voila! He didn’t realize it and put the money in his drawer. After that, he served us the meatballs and we happily ate the meal. It felt so good, because we were very hungry at that time.
He didn’t even get suspicious after we finish the lunch. Then we left the bowl and walked away, back to my friend’s house. We told this to the other friends, some of them just laughed and some of them mad at me, because what i did is a crime. Then i felt very guilty, but i couldn’t do anything, it’s too late, we’ve already ate the whole meatballs. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, even after i went back to my home.
The next day, i decided to pay the meatballs. So i looked for the meatball cart, and silently put the money in the drawer. I felt so relieved after that. I don’t want to do that again, it such a pain in the heart, i can’t stop thinking about it.

Well, that’s my experience. Please guys, don’t ever do that! You will feel bad everyday if you do. Okay, that’s all i want to share, thanks for reading. Ciao!!

Landau (About My Best Friend)

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to my Blog. On my second post, i want to introduce my best friend from my 2 Junior High School. His name is Muhammad Anfasa Muluk Landau. Take a look at the pic.
Me & Landau
His family and old friends call him "Alfa", and my friends call him "Anfasa". But i always call him Landau, actually Landau is his surname, so Landau is his father's name too, that's why sometimes he feel offended when his friends call him Landau. But he never bothered if i call him landau, maybe because he know that when i call him landau, i never mean to mock his father, but because that is how i call him. So when i call him with “Landau”, it’s just like i call him normally, but when other peoples does, he will get mad.
I met him when we were 7th grade, he was my classmate. He is very handsome, kind, and smart actually. But, since he wasn’t my classmate again, when we were 8th grade, and he got new friends that make him different. Since then, he always played at “Warnet” until night, hanging out until night with the naughty boys, and that made him very different. But i’m glad he realized it, and wanted to change back to who he used to be. So he asked me to study together.
So in the 9th grade, we always studied together, we went to cafe, mall and other place to study. It’s not as boring as it seems, because when we together, anything can be funny, that’s why i love him, he always made my day.
Unfortunately, he got a bad score for UN. Now he study at SMAN 15 Bandung, but we still have our friendship, sometimes he come to my house to study together.
The things that i like from him is, he is very kind, he is very friendly, he is generous, and funny. He never get angry when i make fun of him, we will laugh together, and when he make fun of me, we’ll laugh together too. It’s like we’ve get used to it.
I ever kicked him (for joke actually) and made his bag strap broke, i felt very guilty because i know that that bag is his favorite bag. But he didn’t get angry to me. The next day, he came to school with the most stupid coolest solution i’ve ever seen, take a look at the pic below. Yeah, his bag strap was braided by him! That’s just very cool, funny but creative!
Oh right, he was born on 28 July.
I just don’t know how to hate him, he just too lovely. Now i really miss him, if only he can study in SMAN 3 Bandung with me. I have too many memory with him that i can’t forget. I’m very glad that we still keep our friendship until now. I hope it’ll last forever.
Well, that’s all i can share about my best friend. Thanks for reading. Bye, have a nice day!
